SUMMER TRAVEL TEAMS FAQ

What if I can’t make all practices, camp sessions, or tournament?

Each practice session, camp session, and tournaments are not mandatory so players do not have to attend every session. However the more sessions each player attends, the better their play will improve. If you are going to be missing most of the scheduled practices and camps, maybe Eagle Stix is not what you need to do this summer. The Camp of Champions is for four days and that might fit your schedule better. The practices and camps are the most important aspect of the Eagle Stix Lacrosse Club.

If my daughter won't be able to participate in all the practices, camps or tournaments, can we get a discount?

The fees are already priced at a rate that takes into consideration that girls will not be able to attend all practices, camp, and tournaments, so we will not be able to provide additional discounts.

Why do I have to pay tournament fees?

All tournaments have fees, either individual or per team. We also pay our coaches.

What team will I be placed on?

The coaches will determine what team each player is best suited for depending on age, experience, and ability.

Can I be placed on a team with a friend or neighbor for carpooling purposes?

All sessions and teams will participate in the same activities and tournaments so all girls will be able to carpool if necessary.

Do I have to be a member of US Lacrosse?

Yes, all girls participating on the Summer Team must become members of US Lacrosse.  The US Lacrosse membership provides insurance coverage as well as a monthly subscription to US Lacrosse Magazine. Information about membership and benefits are located at the following website:  http://www.uslacrosse.org/TopNav/Membership/USLacrosseMembership.aspx.

Can I still participate if I've never played before?

We encourage both beginners and experienced players to participate, however, it may be difficult for beginners to learn all the rules early in the summer. Players will be placed on teams by Age, Experience, and Ability.
