MAYLA Girls Select Rules for 2010
MAJOR CHANGE: We have moved the drop off and pickup area to behind the barn.
Do not drop off in front of the field or barn -- please drive to the back lot for drop off and pick up.
Girls need to walk on the opposite side of the barn (North Side) to get from the Back Parking Lot to the Practice Field.
Please park in a parking spot on the back parking lot and wait for your daughter. Please do not wait in an aisle.
It you want to watch practice, please leave your car in a parking space and walk to the field.

May 7th Dear Parents and Players of Red Team, As you are aware by now the next Varsity Girls play-off game is tomorrow (Saturday) at 5:30 at Milton Stadium (or as Coach Godby calls it, “The Eagles Nest!”). Thank you to Mrs. Lech for her offer to share her expertise in “banner making”. Please plan to arrive at 4:00 in the parking lot outside the stadium entrance; we will make the banner in the parking lot and then we will go inside the stadium and eat pizza. It would be a great help if we can plan ahead for the pizza and drinks, so please RSVP to this email. Additionally, we would like some help with dessert: if 4 players can bring one dozen cookies or brownies that would be great! Please include in your RSVP if you are sending in a dessert. Thanks! Coach Brooks and Coach Hoffman ======================================================== Announcements: If you are like Coach Hoffman and I and going through lax withdrawal, Girls Varsity will be playing in the first round of play-offs today at the Milton Stadium at 5:30. Banner Making Party for all Feeder Teams this Saturday at the Stadium! Bring your artistic talent and help make a banner for the Girls Varsity 2nd Round Play-Off game. Pizza will be served and then you can stay and make lots of noise as we cheer our Milton girls to victory over Northview! The game will likely be scheduled for 5:00 or 6:00; specific details to follow as soon as they are announced to Coach Godby. Look out for RSVP information in an upcoming email. Information regarding uniform collection will be announced in an upcoming email. |
As for Friday night, this game is CANCELLED and will be on May 2nd, SUNDAY at 1:00pm. It will be at Lassiter. I was unable to field a team for Friday because of 7 girls who would not be able to make it.
Today's game against Lassiter has been delayed until 1:00pm. The location has changed to Lassiter HS.
This afternoon's game at Newtown Park has been cancelled due to weather and field conditions.
Their Coach is standing on the Field at Lassiter and it looks fine.
1 Hour Delay -- White Game Time 10 am (be there at 9:15)
1 Hour Delay - Red Game Time 11:30 am (be there at 10:45)

We were to originally be in the main stadium but it turns out that there
is a soccer event there so they moved us to the back field.
I'm not exactly sure where that field is so be prepared to ask someone
when you arrive.
I'll be there early and can be reached by cell if you can't find us (I'm
hoping it's easy to figure out).

Red Feeder Parents and Players,
Our games are at Lassiter High School tomorrow on the Back Field.
We were to originally be in the main stadium but it turns out that there
is a soccer event there so they moved us to the back field.
The field is behind the stadium if you park at the stadium parking lot; walk along the track, go behind the concession stand, through a row of trees and you will come upon it. Or you can just ask anyone once you arrive. If you come in off of Wigley Road, you will see the fields right there and your parents can park on the grass next to the fields.
Coach Hoffman will be there and can be reached by cell (678.449.4033) if you can't find the field. I am hoping to catch the first half of my daughter's game (they have their JV Tournament at Milton and they too are playing Lassiter in the first round; grrrr...)
Have a great, productive warm-up! Don't forget to move your feet on your partner passing routine (in 2 weeks you will miss hearing me say that!!). Remember use that time to transition out of social life and into the much more exciting and fun lax life J
